A fire service review offers an impartial assessment of the organization and management of a fire department. It evaluates the effectiveness, efficiency, fairness, and alignment with the standards set by the governing body.
Fire service reviews are conducted to assess whether the fire department meets industry standards, adheres to best practices, and complies with regulatory obligations and aligns with the level of core services provided. This process is not punitive, rather, it offers a snapshot of the fire department's present condition. Depending on the directives of the governing body, the review may encompass various components, including but not limited to the 3 lines of defense - Public Education and Prevention, Fire Safety Standards and Enforcement and Emergency Response. A full review will also include Administrative, Operational, Staffing, Facilities, Apparatus and Equipment.
DMCG is also able to assist you with the implementation and review of a current Fire Service Review recommendations.
